Iulia-Roxana Enciu is a 21 year-old Romanian filmmaker driven by curiosity and the wish to bring uncommon and unseen stories to light. Developing films across a variety of genres and formats during her studies, Iulia found her calling in projects that challenge her creative edge, pushing her to think, feel, learn and visualize beyond her own unique perspective.
Working across both fiction and documentary, and currently expending into more commercial prospects, she approaches each opportunity with artistic integrity and creative excitement, always ready to turn any idea into her conceptual playground.
Whether leading the way on set as a director or shaping the narrative in the editing room, her goal is always the same: to tell a story that lingers. Beyond curating meaningful visuals and catering strong narratives, Iulia believes that the role of a film is to persist in the viewers’ minds, encouraging them to reflect on its message.
Previously based in London and Berlin, Iulia is temporarily working remotely, while on the lookout for her next opportunity anywhere in Europe.

CHAPTER 1: Conceptual Exploration
A concept magazine showcasing visuals and references of projects Iulia has developed during her film studies, both through her university and independently (2023-2026).
This project was developed with the intention to turn the digital aspect of being a filmmaker into a more tangible and accessible type of media, with archival and preservation purposes in mind.
